Despite being a heel on WWE television, Chelsea Green has received support from the live audience and on social media. A 42-year-old star recently shared personal information about Green that might come as a shock to some people.
The two-time Women’s United States Champion is married to fellow WWE star Matt Cardona. They are good friends with Cody and Brandi Rhodes, who are both taking credit for setting up Green and Cardona on a date.
On the latest episode of A Shot of Brandi, Brandi Rhodes revealed that she and Cody dread going on a double date with Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona. It’s because they have difficulty finding an appropriate outfit that would not make them look older than their real age.
“When me and Cody go out with you and Matt, it’s the only time we have conversations about what we should wear. Because we’re like, first of all, both of y’all are jacked, and you’re always naked… So we’re like, I don’t, we don’t wanna look like your parents. Michael Hayes reacts to viral Chelsea Green comment on WWE Unreal
One of the biggest controversies from the second season of WWE Unreal was Michael Hayes’ remarks about Chelsea Green not being a main event talent. Hayes finally shared his side regarding the matter on a recent appearance on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast
“When we started that interview, the first thing I said was, ‘Chelsea is as good or as talented and entertaining as anyone we have.’ Of course, that never saw the light of day. That was on the cutting room floor, because if you’re going to make me a heel, that’s the best way to do it, to say she’s not good enough,” Hayes said. [H/T Sports Illustrated]
Hayes added that he has no regrets about making the remarks. He did clarify that he thinks Green is “amazingly talented and amazingly entertaining.” He also praised her for knowing her current role in WWE and excelling in it.
